Cash for Clunkers

Thinking about upgrading that old ride you've been hanging on to? If you've got a vehicle that's a 1995 model year or older, in running condition, that's been registered and insured for the last six months † , then it's time you took part in our Cash for Clunkers program.
Here's how it works:
¦Bring your old vehicle in to your local GM dealer to trade it in
¦GM's Cash for Clunkers program provides qualified customers who successfully donate their vehicle to the Retire Your Ride Program, supported by the government of Canada, with an incentive of $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000 depending on their choice of GM vehicle
¦On top of the GM incentive, the Retire Your Ride Program will kick in an extra $300 incentive towards your new ride - you can read all about it at www.retireyourride.ca
¦The GM incentive - and the $300 Retire Your Ride reward - can be used towards the purchase or finance of an eligible 2010 GM vehicle
¦You'll be doing your part for the environment by upgrading to a cleaner more fuel efficient vehicle

It's time to upgrade the vehicle in your driveway
†To qualify for the GM Canada Cash for Clunkers incentive, you must qualify for the "Retire Your Ride Program", coordinated by the Clean Air Foundation with financial support from The Government of Canada, and you must turn in a 1995 model year or older vehicle that is in running condition and has been registered and properly insured for the previous consecutive 6 months (12 months in British Columbia). Upon Government confirmation of vehicle eligibility under the "Retire Your Ride Program", GM Canada will provide the Cash for Clunkers manufacturer to consumer incentive (tax inclusive) towards the purchase/finance/lease of a new eligible 2010 MY GM vehicle in an amount ranging from $1,000 to $3,000, depending upon the model purchased. Ineligible models include: all Pontiac, Saturn, and Saab vehicles, Chevrolet Aveo and Cobalt, and all Medium Duty Trucks. The GM Canada Cash for Clunkers incentive is only available to customers who take delivery between January 5 and March 1, 2010 and may not be combined with certain other offers available on GM vehicles, including the 60 Day Satisfaction Guarantee. By participating in the GM Canada Cash for Clunkers Program, you will not be eligible for any trade-in value for your vehicle. See your participating GM dealer for additional program conditions and details. If you successfully complete the "Retire Your Ride Program", you will be eligible for other incentives offered by the Canadian Government, including a $300 cash incentive. Residents of Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut are excluded from The Government of Canada's "Retire Your Ride Program" and are therefore ineligible for the GM Canada Cash for Clunkers incentive.
